Between three and seven times
Experts say that people change careers between three and seven times within their working life. As we get ready to go on the road again with our very first press trip, Tim, a career chef with over 15 years behind a stove and I, an office lifer, wonder whether this is our next career, blogging about food and travel. It seems a logical choice, we both like eating and traveling,
Stare blankly
Tim tells a good story and I’ve been known to take a good picture but when we tell friends and family about our plan they seem to have a hard time with it. Most stare blankly or say things like “that’s nice” or “how much does it pay?”.
How much does it pay?
How much does it pay? The elusive question. No one has a short answer, they go on about traffic and SEO, back links and social media.
When we started the blog less than a year ago we knew nothing about blogging. We were simply sharing our stories with friends and family back home while we were traveling. The thought of ever doing this to make a living never even crossed our minds. But since we got back some people kept reading so we kept writing. I admit the inspiration wanes at times and it’s sometimes hard to be excited about the routine of daily life but as we’re packing our bags and making plans the spark is being reignited. We’d like to thank you for your support and hope that you will join us on our next adventure, starting on May 23rd. Please help us spread the word about our blog by sharing with your friends and acquaintances.
If you’d like to receive our blog posts in your email box, you can do that in the top right column of this page.
And if you have any suggestions of places to go or see or things to eat. We’d love to hear it.
