As you can see in this and our previous European Markets post, the variety of products that can be found at markets is limitless. Whether you’re looking for pickles, honey, ferrets, second-hand clothing, olive oil or durian, there’s a market somewhere ready to cater to your needs.
When in a new city, town or village head over to the market and talk to local vendors, see, smell and taste your way to a better understanding of that specific part of the world and support the local economy while you do it.

The one thing I always look for at markets in Europe is JAM!!! I would’ve stripped that lil old woman of all her jugs! So delicious

Her jam as pretty tasty, I did buy one jar. I’m more of a honey person and always buy way too much to bring back.
