Already 3 weeks
I can’t believe how quickly time goes by, it’s already been 3 weeks. The photos I took over the last seven days are mostly of food, which is pretty normal considering the number of meals we eat. The week started with a bowl of shrimp soup, a cake pop (made by a 5 yr old), a frittata and a great wild meat gumbo, it ended with a walk on the Byward market and a meal at our favourite restaurant, a dinner and game of crokinole with family and some live music.

I like the look of the wild meat gumbo. Can’t believe I’m typing this as I’m a vegetarian. It reminds me of a stroganoff? Or I’m a little off with my comparison?

Hi Matthew,
It kind of looks like stroganoff on a photo but gumbo os a Creole dish and is much more flavourful and spicy than a stroganoff.
