Wild mushrooms, big trees and good food
This week we were happy to have two beautifully sunny days and visitors from Vancouver. We ate some tasty meats from Oyama Sausage Co., drank craft beers and feasted on foraged mushrooms. The week ended with the tail end of tropical storm Ana and a rainbow.
You can see all photos here.
How did you spend your week?
Love the photos this week!!
Thanks Lili!
Beautiful photo collage!
Thanks Betsy!
You gotta love when the week ends with a rainbow. Great pics!
It’s like the cherry on the sundae ๐
Great photos once again!
Thanks Irene!
Beautiful photos of some impressive looking food and trees. A great reminder of why I just love BC.
Thanks Michele, we agree, it’s not a bad place at all.
Loved the photo collage. It is hard to pick a favorite. But I am a sucker for great food presentation! Lovely!
Thanks Suzanne, we do love our food ๐
The shell, what we used to call a “whale’s eye”, is beautiful!
We know these ones as Moon Snails but I think they also go by the name Shark’s Eye and now whale’s eye too ๐
I’ll bet those mushrooms were delish! Wild mushrooms are always such a treat and so much more flavorful than domesticated versions. Here is a wonderful mushroom garden I visited in Mexico, http://travelswithcarole.blogspot.com/2012/09/things-to-do-xcaret-near-playa-del.html
They sure are. Thanks for the link!
Looks like you had a wonderful time I love Vancouver. Your photos are gorgeous and I love the rainbow!
Thanks Michelle. We like Vancouver too, we’ll be there in a few weeks.
